I'm starting The Fellowship of the Ring which is the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and it is after the Hobbit. I read the Hobbit a year and a half ago and really liked it but I didn't have this book. It is a little slow to get into and has big pages, small words, and lots of pages. I am hoping that it will be a good book.

did you read the hobbit first?? well, i read the hobbit and the first one but then i got bored. not to get you down about reading it just sayin. :D
I didn't think you could read...j/k. I didn't really like the movies, so I don't think I could stay interested in the books. The movies were just too dark and dreary, and too much CG stuff. Just my opinion, good luck with the books.
I LOVE this book! A word of advice, it is really dull until they get out of the Shire, but if you make it past that, you won't regret it.
