Romeo and Juliet.

I am not a big fan of Shakespeare. I can read it, but it is so hard to understand. I like the story line, but how often does that really happen. Two people meet at a party, find out they are enemies, then fall in love? I mean, come one, William, you could have done something sausier than that.

And the movie versions, I don't think they are at all amusing. Especially not the one that were shown in class. If they wanted modern, then they can make it a chick flick.

In the movie version, everyone looks like complete idiots. All they do is get high and get in gunfights. I thought the modern one was alright, though it was a little weird.

A chick flick?! Come on! Gangsta movie is much cooler. And hey, the cinematography is sweet and the only thing that makes the gunfights cheesy is them spouting Shakespeare while trying to blow each other's brains out. Whew. ^-^ Glad I got that off my chest!

One more thing. ^-^ Only the Montagues were high. Everyone else was drunk. ^-^ Just thought I'd clear that up.

but still. More people actually watch chick flicks. and if it's funny, then it technically is a romance comedy because tragedies are sad.
