Breathe. Just breathe.

There are some things that might make me mad, but most of all, right now, it is the progress of this book. I mean, what the heck, man? I am only at about chapter 11 right now because i am a very slow reader and i can't get the same progress as most people. I just got to the part where they shoot the dog.

I think that's sad. I can relate to this part, though, because my mom's ex boyfriend had to shoot my dog. He got really sick and we couldn't afford to put him down. Did you know that that actually costs money. Anyways, we don't know what was wrong with him, but he couldn't eat without throwing up and wouldn't move for a lot of the day. It was horrible. He just... shot... him... in the head. I can't believe that Scout and Jem thought that it was cool.

That's sad..
not cool...

No offense, but it's kinda awkward to put down a hamster.. I'm sorry for you hamster though. My sister's died and mine had started to eat it so she thought mine had killed her's. lol It didn't, but mine died soon enough.

It's sad what happened to that dog, and your dog too. It's really depressing... But we have to remember that we're putting the creatures out of pain and suffering, no matter how painful it is for everyone else! =] Things eventually turn out alright, and that's the best part of it

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog... and sorry you had to suffer the loss in that way. That chapter in Mockingbird was strange because the sick dog seemed so helpless. The dog had rabies, and they asked Atticus to shoot it because he was "one shot Finch." The kids were amazed because they knew nothing about his ability to shoot.

haha! my hamster had babies, but then my hamster's siter ate them. it was very very odd.

yep. and we didn't even know they were born until we found them eaten alive.

and i guess so, but with the dog in the book, i wonder exactly what was wrong with it.

i once had a cat that had lukemia.

hahah, yeah, i know.
and i wasn't even there!

but the only reason why they put him down was because his back leg was broken (don't know how he did that) and so he could get to his food, so he would have starved.
:[ sad, huh?
