Impulse

This book was a little confusing at first, but I soon found out that it was rather intriguing. It also has mature content, so for those who giggle at something sexual, this is not the book for you.

Throughout the book are journal entries made by the main character's (Rafaella Holland) mom. By reading them, Rafaella finds out all about her father. Basically Rafaella's father (Dominick Giovanni) is this illegal major arms dealer guy in the Caribbean who ditched Rafe's (as she is referred to many times) mom when Rafe was born. Someone tries to assasinate him and he's got this manager guy (Marcus) who is a double agent and part of the CIA. Rafe's mother gets in a coma because of a car wreck, and Rafe is determined to seek out her mother's revenge on Dominick by writing a "biography" on him...except she is going to expose him. While in the Caribbean, there is also an assassination attempt on Rafaella and Marcus, and both try to get to the bottom of it.

There are twists and turns and quirks all throughout the book, which probably why I read it so fast. It's filled with mystery and suspense and a little bit of romance, and it pretty much just a really good book.
