Today we searched the library of congress for pictures of the time period of To Kill A Mockingbird. I chose this picture because it showed what looked like a very close family. I think that this time period was basically looked at as just a bunch of familys in poverty. This was mostly true but i also think that it wasnt so bad for other familys. This picture shows a family that didnt seem to have it too bad. I like how they are dressed as if they just got back from church. I also feel bad for the mother because i imagine it wasnt too easy to raise 4 children during this time. I bet the father is probably working and trying to feed the family. I guess i just chose this picture because it looked like a well groomed family that lived on a nice farm in a nice house.
